Umal is a Somali woman who is a qualified support worker and has over 5 years of experience in assisting children and adults with ASD, Anxiety Disorders, Depression, and Intellectual Disabilities.

Inspired by a desire to delve deeper into the complexities of human behaviour and its implications on society, she pursued a dual degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. This academic journey has enriched her knowledge and perspective on the intricate interplay between mental health and the criminal justice system.

Umal utilises a holistic and person-centred approach and is a strong advocate for equitable and culturally responsive well-being experiences. Umal is dedicated to empowering individuals and contributing positively to communities.
