About Us:
Pola Practice is a mental health, wellbeing, and consulting practice. Founded in 2018 as “Pola Psychology” by Nasalifya Namwinga, who wished to create a place she wanted to see in the world but couldn’t find. A place with highly competent practitioners in their disciplines but didn’t have to leave their identity at the door. Tigist Kebede joined in 2019 and together they established Pola Practice Pty Ltd in 2021.
Pola Practice is based in Naarm (Melbourne). Our vision is to see a world where those with marginalised identities have access to world-class mental health and well-being support.
Our approach is deeply rooted in Culturally Responsive and Intersectional Practice (CRIP), an intersectional worldview that acknowledges that social-political factors have an outsized (and usually ignored) impact on mental health and well-being outcomes.
We aim to create positive social change through exceptional clinical, community, and consultation services.
