Placement Student, Clinical Psychology
Christina (Christine) Nguyen is a provisional psychologist registered with AHPRA and currently completing the final year of her Master of Clinical Psychology at Victoria University. Born and raised in Vietnam, she migrated to Australia as a young adult—an experience that has shaped her understanding of cultural identity, transition, and belonging.
Her therapeutic approach is person-centred and culturally responsive, with particular interests in anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, stress, and migration-related challenges. Christina primarily draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients in building psychological flexibility and meaningful change. She also holds a Master of Interpreting and Translating from RMIT University, which supports her work with clients from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
Outside of her clinical work, Christina enjoys music as a form of self-care. She sings and plays guitar, bamboo flute (dizi), and occasionally the drums.
